If you only knew...

I had to go on separate missions to capture this John Easley moniker, its really complicated to explain but lets say it was well worth it. I'm sure to others it just seems like a name scribbled on metal but that's only the top layer, John Easley is quite the legend. It really deserves much more appreciation (which is why i re-posted it) and it didn't really hit me until i went back at night to just look at it and stand on the same bridge  he stood. In a way it was very majestic and i noticed something else very interesting, the moniker had been there for years maybe even decades and there wasn't very much if any noticeable graffiti/monikers surrounding it. I really dont know if that was a coincidence but to me i thought of why hadn't it been buffed (painted over) or other noticeable monikers surrounding it? ...and if they were there they had already been painted over except the John Easley. Why hadn't a railroad worker scribbled it out after so long?  I guess if something has been there that long it deserves its recognition and appreciation, its here to stay! Maybe that is what others that have seen this moniker thought that as well. I even considered leaving my own name behind in moniker form, but why? i wouldn't want to be responsible for getting the bridge re-painted and really i was just not worthy. That is really the fine line when it comes to respect, you really have to know when to draw your sword. There are things in this planet that deserve to be left alone and just appreciated, you can look but you cant touch! John Easley we salute you!

Oldie but goodie.

Paid a visit to the local fed- ex kinkos today and was able to bring this classic joint hard copy photo to scan and then computer screen. Took this picture around 2003-04 with a disposable camera in my younger "benching" years. SEVER and HEAT of the Train Champs Incorporated showing this rusty old gondola some timeless steez!
